Born in Winnipeg, Linda grew up with a love of art and photography. She did not, however, pursue her interest in art until 2000, when she decided to take an Introduction to Watercolour Class at the Forum Art Institute. She was hooked! She chose watercolour because of its luminous quality and glow. She studied with instructor Alex Suprovich for many years up until his retirement. Since then Linda has taken numerous workshops, the highlight of which was with artist Tom Lynch. Linda has recently broadened her artistic journey to include acrylics, alcohol inks, and pastels, and is finding them fascinating to work with as well.
Linda's passion is painting realistic landscapes, but has had success with painting portraits and animals. Linda's paintings have been accepted into many juried art show across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, and she has won several awards for her works.
Linda is currently on the Board of Directors of the Local Colour Art Group, and a member of the Gwen Fox Gallery in Selkirk and the Pastel Artists of Canada.
Linda's paintings can be found in private and corporate collections across North America.
